Tonia Reinhard, M.S., R.D.![]() Tonia Reinhard, M.S., R.D. is the Director of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at Wayne State University and President-elect of the Michigan Dietetic Association (MDA). Previous positions include Director of the Expanded Nutrition Education Program and Clinical Manager of Nutrition Services at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester. She is currently serving on the Governor’s Expert Committee on Childhood Obesity, the Michigan Cancer Consortium and the Oakland County Child Obesity Committee. Tonia has been involved with MDA in several positions, which include Public Relations Chair, President of the MDA Institute, and Communications Director. She has authored several publications ranging from technical papers to articles for consumers, such as “The School Cafeteria: Opportunities for Healthier Children”, as well as three books. In addition to publications, Tonia presented lectures to many diverse groups including dietitians, nurses, teachers, physical therapists, medical students, industry trade groups and community groups. The topics have included nutrition and disease, nutrition in childhood, vitamins and health, and gastrointestinal disease and nutrition.
